Carvel Station Farmers’ Market launched on May 14, 2015. After 3 years of planning, it was exciting to see the market come to fruition. The community enthusiastically welcomed and supported the market weekly. The Carvel Station Farmers’ Market is an Alberta-Approved farmers’ market and operates within the established guidelines. Over 80% of our vendors are “Make, Bake or Grow”. Shop local and direct is the ultimate goal. Our sponsor organization is The Carvel Ukrainian Cultural Society and revenues generated by the market support the operation of the Carvel Hall and the CUCS. Currently the market management is 100% volunteer contribution.
The Carvel Hall facility supports approximately 25 indoor vendors with additional vendor spaces outside.
Farmers’ markets are synonymous with community. Carvel Station Farmers’ Market offers the community the opportunity to enjoy time eating out from one of the fabulous food trucks, local shopping from small businesses, and the ever popular bouncy castle.
New “Make/Bake/Grow” vendors are welcome. Space for commercial or other vendors is very limited and considered based on the market balance. Vendors can click here to apply. Our vendor information form can be found here: Carvel Station Market Vendor Policies 2016.
